Operational impact during COVID-19 pandemic

Share

Dear clients,

As you know the COVID-19 virus is dominating the news and our personal and professional lives in a significant way.

The Virginia PTAC is open for business to support you on a regular basis but we are implementing some risk reduction procedures that may affect the way that we interact with our clients. Please be patient with us as we try to navigate these challenging times.

Here is what you can expect

  1. Webinars will continue as scheduled
  2. Seminars, workshops and site visits will be evaluated individually and, if feasible, hosted using our technology platforms such as Webex or Zoom rather than hosted in person. If not feasible, those that cannot be hosted virtually will be rescheduled to a later date.
  3. Client contact will remain active but we will rely heavily on technology platforms to facilitate counseling sessions and minimize physical interactions. Your counselor will reach out to you to set up alternate means of facilitating counseling sessions.
  4. Large meetings: CDC guidelines recommending the cancelation or postponement of mass gatherings will impact the many conferences we advertise and share with our clients. When hosted by another entity and we find out about cancelations we will attempt to update our website and notify by email if appropriate.  Bottom line: when in doubt, contact the event sponsor to determine the status of the event.

Please understand that our desire is to support you and your business without interruption but we will minimize risk of spreading COVID-19 by minimizing travel, adhering to CDC guidance regarding large groups and physical contact until this challenge passes. Please email any questions to ptac@gmu.edu.

Thank you for your patience and support.
