Tips to Help You Use the Training Events Calendar
In order to make best use of our training event calendar found on the eCenter Direct platform, we have compiled a few tips you may find useful to get oriented:
- How to see events by title?
Choose year on the top right corner of calendar view.
- How to see all instances of future series classes? My next session is missing!
Make sure to change the date range on the filter to encompass the start date of the series in question. If a series started last month and the next instance is tomorrow it will not be visible unless the date range at the top of the screen includes the date of the FIRST session for that series.
- What is a LOCAL EVENT?
Generally not a Virginia APEX Accelerator organized event. These listings are a topic of interest to our clients that we repost for your convenience.
- Govology Live Webinar?
Virginia APEX Accelerator has a subscription with Govology which allows us to pass along a significant discount to our clients for individual live or on-demand recorded webinars. More information here.
- Do you record your webinars?
Generally we do not but it does happen in specific instances. If there is a recording available, it will be found on the useful links page: https://virginiaptac.ecenterdirect.com/resources
Additional details about the location are found within the Instructions section on each class or event. Use the Keyword Search to refine your results by City. Or use the word “webinar” to search only for online events.
A single event may show up in multiple topic areas based on the content and subjects applicable. If you want to understand more about the topic areas, contact us for additional information at 703-277-7750.
- CPE Credits?
Some classes may offer Continuing Professional Education credits (valuable for professional accountants and others). Please use the Keyword search to find classes that list “CPE” in the description. If the instructor doesn’t directly offer those credits and you seek to apply for credit directly with your specific association or organization, the PTAC can provide an email confirmation of your attendance status paired with the class description but cannot create a formal certificate.
- How to add colleagues without each person completing a lot of information?
Registration is per individual. Groups must register each additional attendee using the “invite a colleague” link found at the top of the page after the initial registration. This function is only available to Owners or more commonly the primary point of contact (POC) for the company.
- How can I download class handouts/attachments?
After attending each class, your status will be marked as attended and handouts will become accessible on the eCenter where you registered to attend the course.
